NEW YORK, Nov. 20, 2023–(BUSINESS WIRE)–FOX News Channel (FNC) correspondent Benjamin Hall traveled to Kyiv, Ukraine, last weekend for the first time since the attack that seriously injured him in March 2022. organized through Lachlan Murdoch, chairman and CEO of Fox Corporation, after being invited to make a stopover in the country through President Zelenskyy. Hall conducted an interview with Zelenskyy that will air as part of a special briefing with Bret Baier (6-7 p. m. /ET) on Tuesday, Nov. 21.

While there, Hall also met with the military who assisted in their evacuation last year and Zelenskyy awarded Hall the Order of Merit, Class III, for his “outstanding contribution to strengthening interstate cooperation and supporting independence and the territorial integrity of Ukraine”.

On March 14, 2022, motorist Hall and his team were traveling under the impact of Russian missiles while collecting data in a village on the outskirts of Kyiv. The attack left Hall seriously injured and led to the deaths of FNC photojournalist Pierre Zakrzewski and the Ukrainian. Hall’s near-fatal injuries included the loss of one of his legs, a foot, and the loss of service to one of his hands and an eye.

Amid more than 30 surgeries in the past 20 months, Hall chronicled his adventure in “Saved: A War Reporter’s Mission to Get Home,” published in March 2023 and which became a New York Times bestseller. The documentary based on Hall’s ordeal aired on FNC after the book’s publication and detailed his extraction from Ukraine and the difficult recovery that followed.
