As reported via Charlie INTEL, an anonymous Reddit user posted a now-deleted log of Apex Legends content that included gameplay detailing a number of never-before-seen heroes.
As publisher EA has yet to reveal or verify any of the alleged leaks, all new characters and talents deserve to be taken with a grain of salt, however, Apex Legends has a notable leak challenge with data miners revealing new content before official sources.
The 15 leaked videos featured new maps for arena mode, weapons (including the so-called Nemesis B-AR and Fanatic power gun) and cosmetics, as well as real-life gameplay of the new Legends in action. These new playable characters are named and indexed as Caliber, Catalyst, Conduit, Jester, Newcastle, Phantom, Scryer, Uplink, and Vantage.
The new Legends can be seen in the roster screenshot (above) and they all appear to have a full set of abilities. Newcastle featured heavily in the video, described as a cellular defender capable of creating cover and reviving his teammates.
The photos even describe his abilities: Recover the Wounded, which allows the player to exercise his fallen allies while reviving them with a shield, Mobile Shield, a disposable drone that creates a moving shield of power, and his ultimate ability Castle Wall, where Newcastle leaps into the air and crashes to create a fortified fortress.
IGN has reached out to EA for comment on the supposed leaks but has not yet responded.
In our September 10 review, IGN said, “Apex Legends’ combination of thrilling characters, gunfights, and unheard of FPS moves make it an ever-new thrill. “»
