Then comes a horror movie, and why look beyond an adaptation of an e-book through the King of Horror, Stephen King?
Jessie (Carla Gugino) and Gerald (Bruce Greenwood) are a married couple hoping to bring their sex life to life in a secluded cabin. What can happen wrong?
Well, Gerald has the concept of handcuffing his wife to bed; and, unfortunately, everything gets too hot for Gerald, who has an attack center.
This leaves the deficient Jessie handcuffed to bed, facing sinister forces outside the cabin alone.
This film was unusually directed, co-written, co-produced and co-edited by No less than Orson Welles, but did not premiere until 2018.
Yes, you read that right. This is Welles’ last film, which was nevertheless finished 40 years after its release.
This is a film in a fake movie-style documentary that follows the last day of an aging Hollywood director’s life. Welles possibly hated critics setting parallels between his paintings and his genuine life, but they were similar to those in this film.
It’s a very meta film that will take you to a set of black and white and fashion sequences. Much of the film was probably shot before you were born.
We’ll stay in World War II for our next film, but far less laughs when Steven Spielberg’s epic film tackles the complicated Theme of the Holocaust.
This heartbreaking film is based on the true story of German businessman Oskar Schindler, played by Liam Neeson, who compiled a Holocaust list that stored the lives of more than 1,200 Jews.
Schindler knew the Jews who were to be transported to the concentration camps before being sent east and did what he could to check to save them.
This vitally important film won seven Academy Awards.
And we’re back with Martin Scorcese for his epic 2019 gangster specially designed for a Netflix release, The Irishman. This movie lasts 209 minutes, but each and every moment is valuable.
Basically, in a very vague way, about the true story of Frank Sheeran’s antics, also known as The Irishman, a Mafia racing guy who controlled to worry about the notorious murder/disappearance of Teamster syndicate boss Frank Hoffa.
The film used a revolutionary age-changing generation to track the lives of the main characters for decades without having to replace actors.
It’s glorious to see Joe Pesci and Robert De Niro running together again, and to incorporate Al Pacino in the role of Frank Hoffa … What are you waiting for?
The next step is a rich crazy comedy starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg as Allen and Terry, two New York cops attached to those who aspire to solve the big case.
Allen and Terry nevertheless get their turn at the climax after the deaths of the department’s two top popular cops.
In one of Ferrell’s films, he teamed up with director Adam McKay (who directed Anchorman: The Legend of Tom Burgundy and Talladega Nights) to produce a fun and funny movie of a police friend.
You can also see Eva Mendes’ brilliant comedian role as Ferrell’s sexy wife, Dr. Sheila Ramos Gamble.
The social network is back on Netflix, and it’s ten years old, it proves it still stays well. This is basically due to the brilliant script through Aaron Sorkin, along with David Fincher’s sublime direction.
With Jesse Eisenberg as entrepreneur Mark Zuckerberg, with Andrew Garfield and Justin Timberlake, he tells the story of the origins of the social media platform Facebook.
The film earned 8 Oscar nominations and won three, adding the most productive adapted script. The script is witty and remarkably sharp, now it’s a little weird and outdated ten years later.
Alfonso Cuarón’s beautiful film is set in the 1970s in Mexico City and revolves around Cleo (played through Yalitza Aparicio), who is a housekeeper of a circle of middle-class relatives. She is not a housekeeper because she is almost considered a member of the circle of relatives.
Her employers agree to take her in when she gets pregnant. The film follows a year in Cleo’s life when she accepts motherhood and deals with other primary adjustments in her surroundings.
It is semi-autobiographical of the years of Cuarón’s formation in Mexico City. Roger Ebert described this film as “a masterpiece of cinema as an empathetic machine, a way to spend time in a place, in an era and with characters, we would never do it any other way.”
The Oscars met Ebert and awarded him three awards.
A chance to revisit or discover this vintage comedy starring Bill Murray and Andie MacDowell. Groundhog Day 1993 features Bill Murray as the cynical meteorologist Phil Connors, sent to cover the annual Groundhog Day ritual in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania.
One or the other, he manages to get stuck in a time cycle in which he is forced to relive the same day over and over again until he does things right.
Co-written through Harold Ramis of Ghostbusters Fame and Danny Rubin, the film was not a big hit when it premiered, however, it has been a cult harvest ever since.
Adam Sandler, as we all know, has made his teeth doing comedy, so it’s quite and even a little disturbing to see him perform in this very tense thriller. However, he achieved a fantastic performance.
Written and directed through Josh and Benny Safdie, the script tells the story of Howard Ratner (Sandler), a New York jeweler who suffers from a serious gambling problem. As it gets worse, you need to stay afloat.
This tense and worried film is one of the 2019 films.
Interestingly, Sandler almost suffocated to death on set through some extras in a trick that almost went wrong.

We finished our list of smart cops and thieves from yesteryear (eventually drug dealers). Except that’s not true, because it’s not your typical movie of friends.
It stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pea as officers Taylor and Zavala, two close friends and “ghetto cops,” who walk at their own pace in a Los Angeles community.
Although these cops are not afraid to circumvent one or two rules for obtaining results, they take their legal responsibility to serve and fight Mexican cartels very seriously.
Written and directed through David Ayer, it is a genuinely grainy film that has many action scenes and a lot of impact.
