Gothic horror comedy climbs up HBO Max movie charts ahead of upcoming sequel

Tim Burton has enchanted moviegoers with a number of memorable film offerings throughout his decades-long career. One of his most notable efforts right now is to captivate the audience on HBO’s Max platform. I’m talking about Beetlejuice.

It’s no surprise that Ghost With the Most has been making waves at Max lately. The long-awaited sequel, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, is preparing to hit theaters in less than a month. Specifically, the sequel will hit theaters on September 6. After several false starts and years of hellish progression, the sequel everyone has been waiting for is almost here. Hurrah.

The upcoming sequel will be about an adult Lydia Deetz (Winona Ryder), who now has a child of her own. When Lydia’s rebellious teenage daughter summons the titular demon, all hell breaks loose. Literally.

In case you want a refresher on the details, Beetlejuice’s setup goes something like this: After Barbara (Geena Davis) and Adam Maitland (Alec Baldwin) are killed in a car accident, they find themselves stuck wandering around their country residence, unable to do so. to leave the country. When the excruciating Deetz (Catherine O’Hara, Jeffrey Jones) and their teenage daughter Lydia (Ryder) buy the house, the Maitlands try to take them away in a sautomobile, to no avail. Their efforts attract Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton), a turbulent spirit whose “help” temporarily becomes detrimental to the Maitlands and the innocent Lydia.

If you want to watch this lovely movie again, head to Max’s, where you can do so.
