The first trailer for the original HBO film Max Unpregnant arrived, showing a funny repreplay of two teenage women leaving Missouri in New Mexico to abort one of them without the wisdom of her parents and boyfriend.
The film stars Haley Lu Richardson as Veronica, an ambitious 17-year-old who becomes pregnant and then recruits her separate friend Bailey (Barbie Ferriera) to take her to a Trans-Am (stolen) to undergo the procedure she needs.
As things start to go wrong, actors like Giancarlo Esposito are also performing.
The film is directed through Rachel Lee Goldenberg (Valley Girl, A Deadly Adoption), who also wrote the film with the authors of the 2019 novel on which it is based, Jenni Hendriks and Ted Caplan, as well as Jennifer Kaytin Robinson and William Parker.It is also the first film in Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter’s deal with Warner Max, the work executive manufacturer couple alongside Picturestart’s Erik Feig.
