Halo TV Series Star Says Fans Should Try Season 2

They listened to the comments. . .

If you’ve noticed that there hasn’t been a lot of anticipation or build-up around the return of the Halo TV series to Paramount since the Season 2 trailer was released, there’s an explanation for that. While many were curious about what the Master Chief’s adventures would be. As it would be seen in Season 1, the effects were far from what enthusiasts expected. Not only did they stomp on the cannon and rarely sneer depending on how you looked at it, but the show’s team admitted that they hadn’t played the games. ! They did so many bad things in the minds of enthusiasts that they were stunned when season 2 was announced.

However, even with all that, someone is asking fans to give the Halo TV Series another chance. Who is that someone? That would be Pablo Schreiber, who plays Master Chief in the series. As ComicBook.com noted, Pablo was doing a roundtable to promote the second season, and he explained in good detail that there was “feedback” given to everyone after what happened with Season 1, and they took it seriously:

“As far as what you want to say to players, go back and look at the differences between Season 1 and Season 2 and see if you like it. And as far as the feedback is concerned, it has been large and widespread. The showcase has been incredibly well-earned globally and domestically, however, the numbers we’ve gotten worldwide for Paramount Plus are outside of this global tier and are insane. So, we’re pretty pleased with where we’ve gotten to in terms of returns and in terms of the business we’ve done for the network. And now it’s about creating the kind of display that we can all be most proud of and that’s a project I never give up. I’m going on to insist until I die or until I’m asked to leave. I want to make the most productive display I can, and I want to try to surround myself with other people who will help me achieve that.

While the streaming numbers arguably would have been a hit, the “well-earned” component is a bit of a stretch. If you take a look at Rotten Tomatoes for Halo season 1, it only garnered 70% reviews and 52% fans, and that’s even declining on sites like Metacritic.

Pablo himself even pointed out that one of the most hated stories of Season 1 was something he had fought against, but perhaps Season 2 will help replace the fate of the show.
