Helldivers seems an odd pick for a movie given Starship Troopers is right there
I’ve seen this kind of comment around since the movie was announced and I don’t get it, at all.
As someone who loves HD2 (it maybe be the only online multiplayer game I can say that about) I think a movie has some tough hurdles to clear.
IMO, he has many obstacles to Claire to translate the many fragmented revelations that we live as players in one of the thematic glorats of more than a hundred minutes.
The closest thing to my limited brain can be imagined, relative to what we see in the game would be several other fights shown in other scenes, or following a small organization of Helldivers into a larger story, but even doing so can be difficult.
I almost wonder if a limited series would be a bigger opening street than a full movie, at least for the initial attempt (I’m an expert).
I’ll gladly take more sci-fi comedy films like Starship Troopers if it’s done well. The live action parts of the Helldivers 2 trailers are great, give me more of that.
