The other brave people from Wide Right and Natty Lite, our iowa brothers, will host the inaugural WRNL eSports Championship Series this fall! Obviously, here at College and Mag, we’re going to combine a team, but it’s not just the staff. YOU, reader, may also participate.
The main topics are not finished, but this is an open invitation. The concept is that several other team sites will each have their own team, and each team will participate in a variety of other games. Each game will have a bracket tournament, and groups will get issues based on their functionality in each tournaments. Other different people may play other games, so if you feel like a Madden specialist on PS4, you can simply be the college and Magnolia Madden representative on PS4.
Cross-play, you can compete on any console or PC
The plan is for those tournaments to last about a week (perhaps more depending on the number of teams), and for one or two tournaments to be played at a time. The expected start date would be the week after Labor Day.
Again, all of this is still in the plan-making phase. But most of all, we have to build a team. If you are interested in any of the events, contact us! I will organize the College and Mag team, but I will not personally participate in all the events.
