‘I Can’t Talk’: Watch Chris Hemsworth Deliciously Try Out False Teeth in First Makeup Test for Furiosa

When Furiosa’s release date arrives this Friday, plenty of other people will be stopping by the theater hoping to have a fun time, but that doesn’t mean the movie was all that fun to make. Massive action videos like George Miller’s newest one occasionally take a lot of paint to make it all look old-fashioned, but Chris Hemsworth shows that at least some parts of the making of Furiosa were fun. In fact, some parts were downright silly.

In an Instagram post, Chris Hemsvalue showed off some of the first makeup tests he did for Furiosa. Specifically, he examines other prosthetics that he will want to bring to life his character, Dr. Dementus. They don’t seem to be the last ones he used because they don’t have very good compatibility, but the result is worth it. Check.

You don’t necessarily realize how productive celebrity teeth are until you see them with less productive teeth. Chris Hemsworth looks so fake here that it’s baffling. It remains to be seen if Furiosa will be the ultimate productive Mad Max movie, but it could have the most productive dentures.

These are pretty epic teeth. You have to believe that Hemsworth tried several sets of teeth to locate the right ones. At least that meant smart laughs for Hemsworth and everyone with him. Just catching the actor with those teeth makes the other people around him hysterical.

Chris Hemsworth underwent a pretty impressive physical transformation into Dr. Dementus. It’s probably not Gary Oldman or Christian Bale, or even the new The Rock movie, where the actors are unrecognizable, but in fact it’s Hemsworth as we’ve never noticed him before.

He has very long hair and some of the most epic facial hair seen in a long time, plus an amazing and legit mustache. Honestly, between him and the mustache Henry Cavil wore for his character in Ministry of War Ungentlemanly, he’s very smart year for mustaches. One has to wonder what he wears in the post-apocalypse to maintain his mustache status like this.

Of course, dental hygiene probably isn’t good at the end of the world. Bad teeth are a staple of the best post-apocalypse movies, so Hemsworth’s best teeth don’t actually work for her character of Furiosa. However, as the video shows, any set may not do. They have to adapt well enough that it doesn’t have an effect on their ability to speak, because speaking is a big deal. They still look hilarious.

So now, when you stop by to see Furiosa this weekend, you’ll be able to take a look at Chris Hemsworth’s teeth and know that those teeth are the result of a lot of trial and error, just to check and locate the right set, all the while probably laughing hysterically all the time.
