Appearing out of nowhere after deciding to go on a “sesh” holiday alone, Richard temporarily latches onto the characters, not easy booze, showers and cash, and reappears out of nowhere.
However, 11 years later, actor Theo Barklem-Biggs is now elsewhere, having strengthened himself for his role in BBC SAS comedy drama Rogue Heroes.
In the series, he plays Reg seeks, a member of the elite Special Air Service (SAS) of World War II.
The brutal series, the latest installment from Peaky Blinders author Steven Knight, unveiled its second series on New Year’s Day, with the unit now led by clever Irishman Paddy Mayne (Jack O’Connell).
Renamed the Special Raiding Service (SRS), the team are deployed to the Allied Invasion of Sicily, landing on the beaches and immediately heading into battle.
But the gang has a lot to face: even the Sicilian mafia, with whom they intend to work for the liberation of Italy.
Reg seeks is based on a genuine user who was part of this team during the war when the unit was founded.
He went down in history as one of the most important members of the SAS and one of the first recruits.
Starting from the bottom of the ranks, he rose through the ranks to first sergeant and one of the most decorated non-commissioned officers in the British Army.
Since his breakout role in The Inbetweeners, Theo has appeared in several esteemed roles, including several war films and shows, including SAS Rogue Heroes.
Shortly after his stint as the hunter Richard, he starred in the BBC legal drama Silk for 3 years before joining the comedy Crims.
He starred opposite Sheridan Smith in the crime drama Cleaning Up, with Cara Delevingne and Orlando Bloom in the Prime Video fantasy series Carnival Row, and in Tom Holland’s war drama Cherry.
Most recently, he appeared in the comedy Sliced and the Jodie Comer-directed dystopian drama The End We Start From.
