‘It’s a kick in the teeth’: Holby City actor’s daughter says she’s been ‘deprived of justice’

The family grief circle of a Holby City actor’s daughter who died of an overdose said she had been “private of justice” after her rapper boyfriend, who had given her the drugs and filmed her dying, was released on appeal.

The 31-year-old trader Ceon Broughton provided John Michie’s daughter Louella Fletcher-Michie with the 2-CP hallucinogen at Bestival in Dorset, but was released from crime after his eight-year sentence was overturned.

Today, the resolution described it as a ‘kick in the teeth’ for Louella’s family, which added to her agony in the process after her death.

A source of the family circle told MailOnline: “To say that the circle of relatives is devastated is to fall short. It’s hard enough dealing with Louella’s loss and now she’s been denied justice.

“The formula of justice has let her and her circle of relatives down. This resolution is a kick in the teeth that adds to our pain. That’s not true and it doesn’t make sense.”

Broughton was released after a Court of Appeal ruled on the governed court that prosecutors had been unable to prove that she could have lived if she had asked for help.
