You know her and love her: Jenna Ortega has a lot of videos coming up.
If you’ve been on social media for the past few years, you’ve probably heard of Jenna Ortega. Whether you’ve heard of her in Scream videos or noticed her at that iconic Wednesday dance, she’s certainly made the impression on your timeline in one way or another.
While Ortega was set to appear in the next Scream movie, he ended up dropping out due to scheduling conflicts. However, the young actress still has a lot of new videos and TV shows that you need to prepare for. Here’s what you can expect to see from Ortega in the coming years.
It’s been since the announcement of the film. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is the long-awaited sequel to the iconic 80s film, directed by Tim Burton. He will also direct the sequel, which once starred Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder, but this time Jenna Ortega has joined the cast as Astrid, the daughter. of Lydia (Ryder).
Also appearing in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice are Catherine O’Hara (again), Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci, Willem Dafoe, Burn Gorman, and more. Watch the official trailer here:
Ortega spoke about her character in Vanity Fair in February 2024 and said that Astrid is “weird,” but not in the way most members would assume:
I don’t know what I can say, but I’m Lydia Deetz’s daughter, so I’ll reveal it. She is weird, but in a different way and not in the way you might assume, I would say. The courtship between Lydia and Astrid, my character, is very important. And it’s also because it involves a lot of catching up and recreating what’s happened in Lydia’s life since then, which I think is good for anyone who loves the character and can’t wait to see her again. ]. . . I wouldn’t say it’s bright and sunny at all. It’s not on the opposite end of the spectrum, but each and every child who becomes a teenager needs to be away from their parents. I think they immediately fight against everything their parents love. So I think it’s a bit like that. I don’t dress in pink or as a cheerleader, but I am a little opposed to my mother’s history or past. We argue a lot.
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice releases on September 6, 2024, according to the 2024 movie schedule.
Next on Ortega’s list of films is Klara and the Sun. Based on the 2021 novel of the same call and directed by Taika Waititi, Deadline showed in February 2024 that Ortega would star in this adaptation of Klara and the Sun alongside actress Amy Adams.
Ortega will play Klara, the main character, an AI friend programmed for solitude. In this story, Klara is purchased through a mother (Adams) for a teenager named Josie, and together they talk about the purity of “human love. “
The film also has a decent amount of stars. Deadline showed that Natasha Lyonne and Simon Baker had signed on for the film and showed later that same month that Mia Tharia and Aran Murphy were also in talks for the film.
The article about Lyonne and Baker said that 3000 Pictures is planning a theatrical release in the fall of 2024, so I’d say keep an eye out for this one.
I mean, you knew this would happen here. Go now. In 2023, it wasn’t long before Wednesday was shown for season 2. The series broke many records, became one of Netflix’s most productive binge-watch series, and featured a wonderful Wednesday cast that included the fabulous Jenna Ortega. .
Honestly, I think Ortega’s Wednesday edition of the classic The Addams Family has replaced my entire generation, as well as the generation before it, and we’re all looking forward to seeing it in Wednesday’s Season 2 on Netflix. Although filming has been postponed for a while. Now thanks to the SAG-AFTRA strike, we know that filming, in May 2024, is underway. The star posted on her Instagram in early May that she got dressed again and that filming had begun:

Wednesday Season 2 has been in the works for a while and there’s already a lot going on about it, we still don’t know precisely what the next story will be. Deadline reported in February 2024 that Wednesday’s Season 2 was aiming for a 2025 release.
The next film in which we know that Ortega will participate is The Death of a Unicorn. As reported via The Budapest Reporter in May 2023, Death of a Unicorn is a new A24 film starring Ortega and Paul Rudd. Then, in November 2023, A24 officially showed the film to Deadline, who had already finished production.
The film, in addition to Ortega and Rudd, has a huge number of stars, including Anthony Carrigan, Will Poulter, Sunita Mani, Richard E. Grant and many others. Filming was able to begin in the summer of 2023 thanks to an interim SAG-AFTRA agreement, and the film follows the story of a father-daughter duo who will have to deal with the consequences when they kill a unicorn. The film was directed by Alex Scharfman and would be his first film.
The premise itself is far-fetched, but, truth be told, seeing Rudd and Ortega in joint lead roles is a wonderful decision. The film doesn’t have an express release date yet, but with production already wrapped, I think it’s only a matter of time before we have something. And it’s also A24, and that studio makes amazing movies, so I hope it’s wonderful.
The last thing we know that Ortega will be a part of in one way or another is an untitled film through Trey Edward Shults. Deadline showed in February 2023 that she would star alongside The Weeknd (the music star) and Barry Keoghan in the director’s film. untitled film.
Trey Edward Shults is the boy in the horror film It Comes At Night, the drama Waves and Krisha. However, since this news was published, we haven’t heard much about the film. That’s not to say it’s dead in the water, even though those 3 stars are incredibly busy, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the explanation for the lack of news was scheduling conflicts.
Either way, this untitled movie has no release date, so we can expect more news.
What are you most looking forward to seeing when it comes to Jenna Ortega? All I know is that I can be sad about season 2 on Wednesday.
