Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer, however, has shown long-standing rumours that another sequel to Dirty Dancing is being prepared.
Details about the film remain tight, it has been revealed that it will feature original lead actress Jennifer Grey.
Dirty Dancing director Patrick Swayze died of cancer in 2009.

“And to reveal one of the worst secrets kept in Hollywood, we’re pleased to find that Jennifer Gray will be an executive maker and star in a new film Dirty Dancing for Lionsgate through Bodies Director Warms, Jonathan Levine,” Feltheim Thursdayer said.
“This will be precisely the kind of romantic and nostalgic film that franchise enthusiasts were waiting for and that has made it the best-selling library name in the company’s history.”
The first mugrientous dance film released in 1987 and has become a film success, earning $300 million in the world’s cashroom workplace and remaining enjoyed by audiences more than thirty years later.

Dirty Dancing won an Oscar and a Golden Globe for the original song (I Had) The Time of My Life through Frank Previte, John DeNicola and Donald Markowitz. He also nominated a Globe in the comedy/music category, with stars Gray and Patrick Swayze also receiving individual accolades.
Its first sequel, Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights, released in 2004 and grossed $38 million worldwide.
