Johnny Depp has called for his defamation lawsuit, ex-wife Amber Heard, to be delayed due to the upcoming filming of Fantastic Animals 3.

Filming of the film directed through David Yates has been suspicious, as have many Hollywood shoots and events, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but as situations have progressed at London’s main filming site, production is expected to restart starting in October and in February is likely to end in February , in conflict with depp-Heard’s trial which will take place from 11 to 28 January 2021.

The Fantastic Animals actor asked on 21 August for the trial to be postponed between March and June 2021.

Depp filed a $50 million defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife of actress Aquaman in 2019 by a 2018 editorial in the Washington Post in which he wrote about sexual and domestic violence.The case has been dealt with ever since in Virginia.
