Johnny Depp’s Jeanne du Barry, the iconic actor’s first film in four years, will soon be available for virtual streaming.

Jeanne du Barry was only released in a limited release in domestic theaters starting May 2, but had a larger theatrical release overseas. Domestic numbers cannot be obtained as the film was screened under a limited commitment through Fathom Events.
According to The Numbers, Jeanne du Barry, which had its world premiere in London in April, grossed $7. 1 million at the box office. Meanwhile, IMDb reports that the film grossed $13. 8 million worldwide, against a budget of $22. 4 million.
Naturally, due to Johnny Depp’s involvement in the film, his first feature since his 2020 indie drama Minamata, critics have revisited the film after its screening at Cannes or ahead of its national premiere in early May.
Critics at Rotten Tomatoes reacted harshly against Jeanne du Barry, giving her a “rotten” score of 45% in 74 reviews.
On the other hand, the public welcomed Jeanne du Barry, as the film scored a positive score of 95%, based on more than 50 verified users.
