Kalki 2898 AD Director Nag Ashwin Says Sequel’s Release Should ‘Take Less Time’

The cliffhanger ending to Kalki 2898 AD has left audiences eager to find out more, but the wait for the sequel probably won’t be long as work on the second installment is already underway.

Director Nag Ashwin tells us, “Yes, work is underway right now. We had filmed parts of it on previous shows, when we were filming the first component. We filmed for about 20 days. But there is still a long way to go in terms of making plans and thinking. ” And he continues: “However, we expect that the production and launch of the second component will take less time than the first. “

Kalki 2898 AD took about five years to create, due to the innovative visual effects to bring everyone to life. The film, released in June, starred Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Prabhas and Kamal Hassan in the lead roles.

For the film’s story, the 38-year-old filmmaker was inspired by the Mahabharata and mentions that the moment will move the story forward.

But dealing with history, mythology, and gods can be complicated. Did you have any apprehensions?

“What we chose to do and how we did it, such a scenario didn’t happen,” Ashwin says, adding, “We didn’t get to the point where we had to be overtly cautious. What is written in the Mahabharata, we have done. “He kept it undeniable that way.

Extra Ashwin says he felt it was the right time to bring our own stories to our country’s audience. “I thought it was the right time to tell this story. There is a massive audience in our country, not only in the cities, but also in small towns, who buy stories like Marvel and Star Wars. I think we explore our local superheroes, it’s very Indian,” Ashwin concludes.
