A number of Bollywood celebrities paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the Kargil War. Sidharth Malhotra, who will now be noticed in the biopia of Kargil’s war hero, Captain Vikram Batra, Shershaah, paid tribute to Kargil’s martyr Vijay Diwas.
The actor shared a video on Twitter and wrote: “Today in #KargilVijayDiwas, I salute all our brave hearts for their consistent and selfless sacrifices to date and the PVC Captain #VikramBatra for sacrificing his life for our nation. Jai Hind” The video shows a glimpse of Vikram Batra’s thirteen JAK rifles, who embarked on a project with his battalion in the Dras Valley and sacrificed his life fighting for the country.

Taapsee Pannu recalled how the Kargil War paralyzed the country 21 years ago. Calling it an irreparable loss to the families of the martyrs, she tweeted: “21 years and memories are clear. Sitting in front of the television for hours to locate whether or not everything is over whether or not our infantry martyrs are or not, whether we rescued our land or not, what followed was victory for our country and irreparable loss to the families of the martyrs #KargilVijayDiwas.”

Actor Randeep Hooda shared photographs of his stopover at the Kargil War Memorial in Delhi.
