A new occupant has already been covered for the Cineworld in Nottingham city centre.
The news broke out on Monday night (January 13) in the Cineworld final its site at the corner of Nottingham as a component of its restructuring plans. However, TheBusinessDesk.com understands that Nottingham-based agent Box Property already has a new tenant – Vue – lined up for the substantial site.
Box Property, directed by Ben Tebbutt and Frankie Labbate and specialized in the hospitality and leisure sector, told us there “some great novelties” for the Cineworld website. Now, the VUE cinemas has been covered by the Cornerhouse, which is renewing the area and will open a “state -of -the -art” place.
Other Vue East Midlands locations are in Ashbourne, Leicester and Northampton.
A spokesman said: “We can verify that we are going to the cornerhouse, Nottingham. We are very impatient for offering visitors the best revelation of the big screen at the end of this year and we will pant more data in the desired time.
Box Property appointed a joint leasing agent on the city’s 200,000 square foot city, The Cornerhouse, in 2019.
In December, CineWorld unveiled plans to close more of its Midlands venues from its existing restructuring programme.
The Corporate film said it would close six cinemas, which has closed the total number of sites at 11.
The closures will come with branches in Northampton, Castleford, Leigh, Middlesbrough, Poole and Weymouth, with the Weymouth final on December 30 and the others on January 19.
Previously, the film chain closed places in Laughborough, Yate, Swindon Regent Circus and Glasgow Parkhead in the same role of the same restructuring efforts.
While Cineworld also planned to close its Fanckley branch, the company said in December that it had been saved as a result of the approval of a new genuine real estate agreement.
