Warner Bros. Discovery has acquired the U. S. rights to “Spacey Unmasked,” TheWrap has learned. The documentary series about actor Kevin Spacey’s sexual abuse allegations will make its U. S. debut on ID and Max.

The two-part documentary series was first commissioned through Channel Four in 2022 and will premiere in the UK on May 6 and 7. The series includes interviews with several men who communicate for the first time about their alleged reports with Spacey. These interview subjects are unrelated to the 2023 U. K. trial against the actor, which found that Spacey is not guilty of all sexual assault charges. Dates for the docuseries have yet to be announced.
“Spacey Unmasked” follows Spacey from his formative years and early Broadway successes to his rise to fame and incredible public fall. In 2017, actor Anthony Rapp claimed that Spacey had made a sexual advance to him in 1986, when he was just 14 years old. . This sparked a wave of accusations against Spacey. 15 other people eventually told stories of sexual abuse of the actor, and 8 other people who worked on “House of Cards” were added.
The docuseries is directed and executive produced by Katherine Haywood with Dorothy Byrne and Mike Lerner serving as executive producers. Roast Beef Productions, “The Square” and “Pussy Riot: A Punk Prayer” produced the series in agreement with All3 Media International. .
