A dream Disney castle has recently become a nightmare situation for two young men at the Shanghai Glass Museum.
The two young men moved around one of the exhibits when they collided with a glass reproduction of a Disney castle for $64,000, a museum spokesman said in a post on the Chinese social media site Weibo in May.
The tower, also known as The Castle of Fantasy, “was demolished,” the spokesman said, while other parts were damaged.
According to Vice, The Fantasy Castle is valued at 450,000 yuan ($64,000) and required 500 hours of construction. Created through the Arribas brothers, Spanish artisans who donated the castle to the museum in 2016. The glass demonstration features more than 30,000 individual pieces and is decorated in 24-carat gold. It weighs about 60 kilograms (132 pounds).
Despite its name, the castle turns out to be animated through downtown Shanghai Disneyland, officially known as the Enchanted Castle.

The museum seemed to take the incident in stride, commenting on Weibo, “The little visitors knew that their behavior was inappropriate, and, under the encouragement of their parents, reported the incident to the museum staff. Their attitudes were friendly and sincere, and they agreed to help out with follow-up matters.”

Despite injuries sustained at the castle, Rudy Arribas, president of The Arribas Brothers, said his brother Miguel was not disappointed by the incident.
“Fortunately, it is not destroyed. As soon as the coronavirus restrictions are lifted, Miguel will move to Shanghai and repair. He loves toArray,” Rudy told Today Parents. “Miguel is satisfied that other people are seeing his beautiful work.
“We’re used to things like that,” he said. “The glass breaks. Nothing is done on purpose.
The castle already required maintenance once before, the first time due to vibrations caused by local trains coming and going, Rudy said.
