KonoSuba ADV: opening sequence, themed songs, Aqua being useless

We’re back with more main points on Mages’ KonoSuba ADV game (what other outdoors in Japan call visual novels). You know, this game whose complete call is Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! -Kono Yokubou no Ishou nor Chouai wo!

In the past, we have detailed the other routes for each of KonoSuba’s heroines. Now we’ll review the new limited edition main points, the bonus game included in the first published copies, the new screenshots and the game’s opening animation series.

Be sure to read the main points above if you have no idea what is happening in the screenshots above.

The first published copies of the KonoSuba game will come with a Harrier-type scrolling action game. Yu Suzuki’s arcade game was originally a Space Adventure Cobra reference. So, in a way, this is the closest thing to a Cobra x KonoSuba collaboration that exists.

The pixel art minigame features six stages and several playable characters: Kazuma, Aqua, Megumin, Darkness, Yunyun and Chris. The story is based on the season of the moment of the anime and the film, and the characters are expressed.

There is also an old skool stereoscopic 3-d mode, with those red and blue lenses included. You have no idea what I’m talking about if you were born after the early 1990s.

Photos of the game edition have also been revealed:

As explained above, the PS4 edition has an SD figure from the Megumin cheerleader, while the Switch edition is an SD figure from Nurse Aqua.

New urgent orders to the store have also been revealed:

Then we have the opening animation series and a new trailer:

The opening theme is titled It’s so fine! and is sung through Machico. The final song is titled Ame Yadori and is sung through Aqua (Sora Amamiya), Mgumin (Rie Takahashi) and Darkness (Ai Kayano). A bachelor with any of the songs will be released on October 21 in Japan.

Machico is great.

KonoSuba: God’s blessing in this glorious world! it is a smooth and novel component of the Isekai boom, written through Natsume Akatsuki and illustrated through Kurone Mishima. This is one of the most popular isekai stories. Natsume Akatsuki also wrote a novel called Sentouin, Hakenshimasu!

Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! -Kono Yokubou no Ishou nor Chouai wo! (official website) is launched on PS4, Switch, on September 24 in Japan.
