LeBron James to pay tribute to Chadwick Boseman with Wakanda Forever salute at the helm of the Lakers playoff game

The basketball star led a moment of silence before the five-year playoff between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Portland Trail Blazers.

During a moment of silence, the announcer called the actor “close friend of the NBA” the homage.

Then all the Lakers knelt in a moment of reflection.

Meanwhile James, who Dressed in a Black Lives Matter sweatshirt, crossed his arms in a “Wakanda Forever” salute, which was the signature gesture of Boseman’s superhero character T’Challa.

Finally, the three-time NBA champion pointed to the sky, in a definitive recognition from Boseman.

James paid tribute to Boseman on social media by sharing a photo of them smiling together.

He subtitled him on his Instagram with “Rest in Paradise King”.

Boseman died yesterday after the four-year announcement of colon cancer.

He died at home surrounded by his relatives, adding his wife Taylor Simone Ledward, his circle of relatives said.

Boseman has spoken publicly about his illness.

Films including Black Panther, Da five Bloods and Avengers: Endgame have been filmed and among countless surgeries and chemotherapy.

The tweet that revealed the news of Boseman’s death is Twitter’s most popular tweet in the site’s history.

On Sunday morning, the tweet had more than 6.8 million likes and 3 million retweets and quotes.
