Listen to Hans Zimmer’s extended review of Netflix’s ‘ba-dum’ movie issue

Take the drama out again

Hans Zimmer has written a new Netflix opening theme for use in theaters.

Award-winning film composer The Dark Knight (Inception) has been invited through the broadcast to make it bigger and reshape its introduction to theatrical settings.

The three-second “ba-dum” song that opens the episode or movie on Netflix is too short for theatrical screenings, so a longer edition was commissioned and attributed to the Hollywood legend.

Netflix has created a number of films in theaters before releasing them on the platform, such as Steven Soderbergh’s The Laundromat and Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman in 2019.

The coronavirus pandemic forced many theaters around the world to close earlier this year, however, some began reopening as blocking restrictions disappeared.

For some productions, such as Mulan’s remake of Disney/Disney’s live deferred, the resolution of announcing a live streaming release at an additional subscription price was taken. This is rather than proceeding to create and lose the openings of theatres that weigh precariously on the evolution of the global crisis.
