Lockdown Mastered to bring social concerts remotely to Southsea

7 Portsmouth nightclubs we haven’t forgotten for a long time

Biffy Clyro has announced an intimate concert in Southampton – how to get tickets

Lockdown Mastered will take position for two weeks at Clarence Field and offers a diversity of music, comedy and family entertainment.

It runs from Thursday 20 August to Saturday 22 August and from 27 August to 29 August.

Portsmouth City Council has announced that ticket sales for the concerts will increase the budget of Rowans Hospice and the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity.

This will be the first time live entertainment will return to the port since the coronavirus closure began in March.

Families or small teams can book their own social bubble while enjoying live shows.

Each organization will be assigned a spacious and clearly delimited domain on the lawn and others will be encouraged to bring their own picnics while enjoying music, comedy and children’s shows.

Cllr Steve Pitt, a member of the council’s culture, recreation and economic progress closet and deputy leader, said: “We try to check to bring the exhibits back to the port before the end of the summer.

“We are very excited to present Lockdown Mastered and its brilliant alignment for the whole family. We take steps to make sure everyone can laugh safely: we create socially remote bubbles on the floor that are reserved in advance and invite others to bring picnics or takeaways to local cafes and restaurants, to promote food on site.

“We will also have a traceability formula in position on the doors.”

There will be two occasions on the days when Lockdown Mastered takes place. During the afternoon display (2pm to 4pm), families can enjoy the number of children, adding To Silly Scott, Mister Tall and friends.

Evening exhibits (6 p.m. to 8 p.m.) will come with live music from Wedgewood Rooms, jazz nights and comedy performances, through James Alderson.

Tickets for the afternoon will be charged five euros for adults (over 17 years old) and 2 euros for young people; Tickets for evening shows will charge 10 euros for adults and five euros for young people (only over 7 years old) and must be purchased in advance on the Wedgewood Rooms website here.

Access to Lockdown Mastered will only be through pre-booked tickets and the team at the gates will record the touch data of the member of the public, in accordance with verification and tracking guidelines.

Ticket holders will be a numbered bubble zone on the lawn in advance.

Good sand bubbles will have plenty of area to allow up to six other people to comfortably enter to enjoy the show.

Public restrooms will be available, but there will be no food stalls or bars inside the site to restrict queues and collection opportunities. All participants will be asked to comply with all applicable social estrangement rules and advice.
