German premium Loewe AV Lopass celebrates its centenary this year, and if its new multiroom amplifier is anything to mention, it looks like the lopass is keen to honor this huge milestone by proving that it hasn’t lost any of its cutting-edge. intuition that helped him. The multi-room amplifier is described as Loewe’s first multi-room stereo amplifier, a core feature it delivers spectacularly by delivering up to 1200W of natural sound via Class D amplification, available in mono or switchable stereo configuration. with a frequency diversity from 20 to 20,000 Hertz. In reality, the multiroom amplifier offers much more than this enormous amount of force.
In fact, the way to describe it is to think of it as a bridge between passive analog speakers and modern smart home solutions. It supports Apple AirPlay, Spotify Connect, Google Cast, and DTS Play-Fi, and can be paired wirelessly with home devices. formula speakers, rear or front multi-channel speakers and even subwoofers.
It can also offer its gigantic output from a wide diversity of sources, adding turntables and CD players (almost any virtual source, in fact), a diversity of interfaces by adding RCA and USB inputs, HDMI ARC with CEC support, and not just one. but two network sockets for LAN integration. These LAN connectors can even be used in a daisy-chain configuration if desired.
The Loewe multi-room receiver also supports all basic Bluetooth and Wi-Fi standards, as well as Loewe’s multi-channel home theater formula with the Loewe Wireless Digital Audiolink formula. All of this makes it a device necessarily capable of introducing “offline” speakers into the modern multi-room world.
If your offline speakers are analogue, you simply connect them to Loewe’s new amp using its gold-plated banana plugs, while active speakers are connected via the multi.room amp’s RCA preamp output. A further RCA jack is provided, too, to support active subwoofers.
As you’d expect from Loewe, the multi. room amp is more powerful than the same old stereo amp, and features a strangely minimalist black design damaged only by an undeniable circle of hand controls on the front, a force indicator, and one of the branded “labels” hanging from its most sensitive edge. Its compact length of 22 x 8 x 22 cm also allows it to be placed in 19-inch kit racks.
If you were given old speakers that you need to have compatibility with today’s multi-room virtual world, Loewe’s multi-room amplifier will go on sale this month for £999/€999. There are no plans to release it in the U. S. U. S. citizen at the time of writing.
