Butterflies have been observed in gigantic numbers twice in Britain.

The sighting took place in 1990 in northwest London, when butterflies laid their eggs in Gillespie Park, according to SWNS.
A previous sighting had taken place in 1945.

Due to climate change, long-tailed butterflies are thought to have settled in the south of England.

The photographer told SWNS that the spotted butterflies will likely be the last of the season before the temperature replaces for winter.
