Larry H. Miller Megaplex Theatres today announced plans to acquire and renovate the former Redstone 8 Theatre at Kimball Junction in Park City, Utah, beginning July 1, according to a company press release.
Larry H. Miller Megaplex Theatres and Larry H. Miller Real Estate will begin converting the area into a “100% sumptuous theater complex. “The Megaplex team plans to begin the structure in July 2024 with a grand opening birthday party planned before the upcoming holiday season. .
The renovation will result in the temporary closure of the Redstone 8 complex.

The new luxury Megaplex Theatres complex will feature lounge-style recliners in each auditorium, premium snack and beverage service, “contemporary décor” and technology.

Located in Kimball Junction, the newly acquired Megaplex theaters in Park City will occupy the same land as the theater, built in 2004.
Megaplex Theatres recently completed high-end luxury upgrades, Luxury Box seating with privacy walls, and premium loveseat-style recliners, at several Megaplex locations.
