Former First Lady Michelle Obama said Wednesday that she is “dealing with some form of mild depression” this year, attributing it, in part, to the “hypocrisy” of the Trump administration.
“Not only for my forties, but also because of racial conflict, and just seeing this administration, seeing its hypocrisy day after day, is daunting,” Obama said in the latest episode of “The Michelle Obama.Podcast”.while talking to NPR presenter Michele Norris.
“I don’t think it’s uncommon in this,” Obama added.”But it would be negligent to say that the component of this depression is also the result of what we see in terms of protests, of the current racial unrest, which has ravaged this country since its birth.I must say that waking up to the news, waking up to the way this kind of management has responded or not, waking up with some other story of a black guy or a dehuguyed black user, or wounded or killed, or falsely accused of something, is exhausting.And it led to a weight that I haven’t felt in my life for a long time.”
Obama said he was suffering from maintaining a regime this year, especially in terms of sleep and exercise.

And Census Bureau knowledge released in May showed that a third of Americans were displaying symptoms of clinical anxiety or depression from the COVID-19 pandemic.
