As the name suggests, this is the oldest theater in Michigan – the high-gauge road in Carsonville in Sanilac County.
The Hi-Way opened in 1947 (another saying in 1948) at 2778 E. Sanilac.
The Hi Way owned through C. H. “Torchy” Clements until 1968, when he sold it to Stanley Fetting, who managed it with his son. In turn, it was sold in 1997 to Steve Kurzinsky. The theater went well on The Boonies, a footpath west of the city, with the thin Black River just a stone’s throw away.
The theater fits 360 vehicles, and the sound is through your car’s FM radio. . .
Another Smart Plus is the lack of city lights, which makes watching movies much more enjoyable. Load up on cravings and maybe some blankets and get into a position for a double served as with some clever movies. Of course, entrenamientos. no are for watching movies. . .
The theatre is House to the Woodkey and Chase ‘n Daisies Music Festivals; The Hi-Way is open six days a week, closed on Mondaysarrray.
