EAGAN, Minn. – This may sound different from recent years, however, the Verizon Vikings training ground is on the move.

And while players may not show up in the box for padded workouts until Monday, they’ll be doing strength and conditioning workouts and off-season education until then.

Another new detail is that the NFL list will have to be reduced to 80 players until August 16. The Vikings are here after a recent series of alignment moves.

One of the existing faces of the Vikings is that they don’t have players on the COVID/Reserve list.

However, as the camp continues, here is a quick reminder of the 80 players lately on the Vikings list (players ranked in alphabetical order):

Field Marshal (4): Jake Browning, Kirk Cousins, Sean Mannion, Nate Stanley

Fresh out of perhaps the most productive season of his career, Cousins returns for his third season at Purple armed with a contract extension and a playoff win as a away. Minnesota has built its offense on The Forces of Cousins, and the hope is that he will be even greater in 2020 than his Pro-Bowl crusade in 2019 that saw him throw 3,603 yards with 26 scores and only six interceptions in 15 games. The war for back-up paintings deserves to be one of the camp’s intriguing highs, especially between Mannion and Browning. Mannion was Cousins’ replacement in 2019, while Browning was on the practice team. Stanley is a seventh-round rookie from Iowa.

On Friday, QB Kirk Cousins spoke at the press conference.

Offensive medium (6): Ameer Abdullah, Jake Bargas, Mike Boone, Dalvin Cook, C.J. Ham, Alexander Mattison

Cook is the focal point of the Vikings’ offense, but the Vikings also have a deep backfield with Ham, Mattison and Boone. Cook, with whom general manager Rick Spielman said the Vikings were running in an imaginable expansion, made his first Pro Bowl in 2019. He ran for 1, thirteen5 yards with thirteen touchdowns and added more than 500 yards at reception. Mattison was impressive as a rookie with an average of 4.6 yards consistent with the race, while Boone also produced wonderful moments. Ham paved the way as a Pro-Bowl fullback. Abdullah offers special group price and intensity in the backfield. Bargas is an undrafted rookie rookie agent from North Carolina.

Tight tips (5): Tyler Conklin, Brandon Dillon, Nakia Griffin-Stewart, Kyle Rudolph, Irv Smith, Jr.

Rudolph is a product shown in the box, as the veteran leader intervenes in the big moments. (See: January 4, 2020 in overtime). Smith may be ready for a more important role after a forged rookie season because his athletics is a delay for rival defenses. Conklin can simply sign up for this duo in the box for 3 sets adjusted under Gary Kubiak, giving the Vikings the chance to gain weight in the race or showcase The action play ability of Cousins. Dillon came out of nowhere to be a camp star a year ago and played on the practice team. Griffin-Stewart is an undrafted, undrafted on-going agent from Pittsburgh.

TE Kyle Rudolph spoke at the media video convention on Wednesday.

Open receivers (10): Chad Beebe, Dan Chisena, Quartney Davis, Alexander Hollins, Justin Jefferson, Bisi Johnson, Dillon Mitchell, K.J. Osborn, Tajae ‘Sharpe, Adam Thielen

Thielen is the organization’s oldest stadist and undisputed leader after Stefon Diggs was changed this low season. He endured a 2019 season plagued by injuries and will be motivated to prove that he remains among the most productive recipients in the league. Sharpe, an addition to the flexible agent, will compete for No. 2 with Jefferson, a first circular of 2020 that generated enthusiastic criticism during the virtual off-season. Johnson exploded a lot as a seventh circular rookie in 2019. Beebe is back after missing the 2019 season with an ankle injury. You can also challenge Osborn for the position of clearing-up returning. Mitchell and Hollins were on the practice team in 2019. Davis is an undrafted, undrafted on-the-loose agent with a lot of potential. Chisena is a former track star at Penn State and is arguably the fastest player on the list.

WR Adam Thielen spoke at the media video convention on Wednesday.

Offensive line (15): Brady Aiello, Garrett Bradbury, Blake Brandel, Ezra Cleveland, Aviante Collins, Dakota Dozier, Pat Elflein, Rashod Hill, Kyle Hinton, Brett Jones, Jake Lacina, Brian O’Neill, Riley Reiff, Du Samia, Oli Udoh

At this time, the start of five positions is unknown, some positions have been consolidated. O’Neill will seek to consolidate itself as one of the most productive shots to the right of the game after a stellar sophomore season. Bradbury, a 2019 first-round player who was a starter in each and every game in the middle, is in that role. Reiff will start in the left shot and is the veteran leader of the group. Elflein has had a 2019 ups and downs season, but is still in the combo to be placed on left guard and also provides a central depth.

Cleveland, a second-round pick in 2020, played at school but appears to be in the combo for a rookie guard position. Collins and Dozier are also candidates for a beginner guard position, according to Gary Kubiak, OC of the Vikings. Hill remains one of the most productive swing substitute shots in the league. Jones brings intensity inside. Samia and Udoh have had seasons of red jerseys in 2019 and can progress in 2020. Brandel and Hinton were final-round selections that have potential. Aiello and Lacina are loose, un written agents.

Offensive coordinator/assistant head coach Gary Kubiak spoke at the media video convention on Wednesday.

Defensive Liners (14): Jalyn Holmes, Danielle Hunter, Jaleel Johnson, Stacy Keely, James Lynch, Hercules Mata’afa, David Moa, Ifeadi Odenigbo, Shamar Stephen, Armon Watts, Kenny Willekes, D.J. Wonnum, Eddie Yarbrough and Anthony Zettel

After consecutive seasons with 14.5 catches, Hunter is now considered one of the most productive pass pitchers in the game. He will lead a unit that oversaw some ball losses during the off-season, where Odenigbo can play an initial role in 2020 in the end of the defense after collecting 7.0 catches in 2019. Wonnum and Willekes were selected in the draft with the greatest potential, while Yarbrough and Zettel are veterans. The quartet will fight for places on the list behind the headlines, as will Keely, who spent 2019 on the practice team. Stephen is a supposed defensive version of the opener, but the other place is in play after Michael Pierce’s retirement. Johnson, Watts, Holmes, Mata’afa and Lynch will fight to play in camp in what can be a heated competition. Minnesota will depend on defensive co-coordinator/defensive line coach Andre Patterson to help shape this group. Lynch was a fourth-round pick that was the 2019 Defensive Player of the Year in the Big-12s. Moa is an undrafted, undrafted off-year agent from Boise State.

Linebackers (8): Anthony Barr, Troy Dye, Jordan Fehr, Ben Gedeon, Eric Kendricks, Blake Lynch, Quentin Poling, Eric Wilson

Barr and Kendricks remain one of the NFL’s most productive supporting duos, especially after Kendricks’ first All-Pro team season in 2019. We’ll count on the duo to help lead a defensive as veterans in the middle of the field. Wilson provided a defensive play ability in 2019 after Gedeon missed part of the season due to a concussion and can also play an initial role in the base package 4-3. Dye is a promising and athletic rookie who has been productive in Oregon. Fehr would possibly be the ultimate athletic supporter, but he’ll want to earn a spot on the list after being a star at Appalachian State. Lynch is an undrafted loose agent from Baylor, and Poling joined the list last week.

Defensive part (15): Kris Boyd, Nevelle Clarke, Brian Cole II, Cameron Dantzler, Myles Dorn, Mark Fields II, Jeff Gladney, Harrison Hand, Anthony Harris, Holton Hill, Mike Hughes, Nate Meadors, Josh Say Metellus, Marcusles, Harrison Smith

Smith and Harris form the most productive security tandem in the league and will be called to help a young worthsater organization. Metellus and Cole, the final round teams in 2020 will look for special safety and assistance teams. Dorn, an undrafted loose agent from North Carolina, is also included in this conversation. Hughes is now considered a corner leader, despite the 2018 first-round pick that was played in only 20 games in his career. Hill is a candidate to begin with, and Boyd is also in the mix. Gladney leads the new faces as a first-round, while Dantzler (third round) and Hand (fifth round) will also compete for playing time in defense and special teams. Meadors has noticed the game in 2019 and has security experience, while Fields has spent time on the practice team. Sayles was added this off-season after being an out-of-competition CFL. Clarke was an undrafted, undrafted, undrafted agent wanted by UCF.

S Anthony Harris spoke at the media video convention on Wednesday.

Special teammates (3): Dan Bailey, Britton Colquitt, Austin Cutting

For the first time in recent memory, the Vikings have stability in their kicking operation. Bailey’s first full season dressed in purple was a success, as he won the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week award 3 times. He scored 27 of 29 cash goals in 2019, adding 22 consecutive shots to finish the normal season. Colquitt arrived just before Week 1 and had one of the most productive seasons for a bettor in franchise history, setting a Viking record in a single season for a net average of 42.6. He averaged 45.2 yards in 59 unsealed clearings and provided plenty of laughs along the way to get the yin and yang out with the trio. Cutting, a seventh-round pick in 2019, more than reliable as a long rookie snapper. He was reliable in 132 shots overall in 2019 (29 targets in the area, 44 additional problems and 59 clearings). Expectations for this organization in the run-up to 2020 are high.
