Netflix criticized for sexualizing young people with new movie poster

The broadcast has issued an apology for negative reactions around the release of its latest film.

Shortly after the poster for the coming-to-age French film ‘Cuties’, Netflix apologized.

The film, which won the World Cinema Dramatic Directing Award at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, follows the story of an 11-year-old woman joining the dance organization called “Cuties”. Critics and audiences appreciated the film, congratulating it on its handling of sensitive subjects.
