The Netflix Cuties controversy continues. As this movie hits Netflix, Internet users around the world are calling the movie, and it turns out there’s a clever explanation of why, let’s give some context and communicate what others are saying.
We’ll also see what Netflix has done/hasn’t done as a result of this. Haven’t you heard of the movie? It is intended to be a look at child exploitation, because an organization of them is treated in a dance organization where 11-year-olds twerking and dress provocatively, that is, critics say that the film denounces the exploitation of young people through youth exploitation.
So, it’s a French film that recently made its debut on the popular streaming platform. When the backlash began, Netflix quickly recognized its award-winning status, while apologizing for its promotional choice. And that’s when the big reaction began.
A promotional symbol on the site showed the children of the film with very few garments perched in a way we wouldn’t expect from a movie with a group of children. They jumped and replaced the symbol as well as the description of the film, but nothing else has replaced it. This is where a lot of people are upset.
To compound the controversy over Netflix Cuties, vlogueros and commentators from across the Internet have opposed the film, as one of them tells John Talks, who asked Netflix to delete the film and noted that the service had already done so. so in Turkey, where they strongly opposed the film and called it exploitation. Here’s what one commentator said in his video.
“I heard the review of the movie through That Star Wars Girl yesterday, yes 3 hours. She broke down the movie scene by scene. He described all the particular movements these little women were subjected to.
[This Star Wars girl] even broke what they danced, dressed and acted against the movements of porn stars and strippers.
She may not have shown any clip or screenshot, however, listen to each and every detailed description of those scenes and listen to how discussed and uncomfortable Anna felt radiant with me as she listened to her.
“The ultimate messy component of the complaint is when in a scene she describes, here I can shake her voice and give in as if she were about to start crying. I’m not kidding, without watching the movie and just hearing it describe, in detail, the total film enough to burn an intellectual symbol in my brain and give me a headache.
Following the controversy over The Netflix Cuties, #CancelNetflix caused a furore on Twitter. There have also been reports of inventory losses and subscribers leaving the platform.
According to the John Talks podcast, the service advised the audience to watch the film for an opinion on it and encouraged others to do so. Depending on what we said earlier, you can believe where he is. We have to agree. He’s not the only one to call this movie and Netflix.
The Lauren Chen ball is a video called “Cuties Netflix Damage Control is Not Enough”. In that document, she discussed the situation, saying that she did not believe that the dress shown in netflix’s policy of the film was out of point for children’s age, and highlighted how other people on all sides of the spectrum agreed. She also discussed the petition against the film and the number of other people they signed. You can see more here.
