Netflix has just added several AMC series as part of a licensing deal that now means there’s a lot of new content on the platform. This one has all sorts of shows, and adds some very bad ones (Fear the Walking Dead), but at least one incredibly correct one, which is the most productive new mystery/crime series added to Netflix in recent times.
This exhibit is called Dark Winds, the Native American drama starring the ubiquitous and incredibly Zahn McClarnon, last seen in Reservation Dogs, as a tribal police officer solving disturbing crimes.
This is a very, very rare circumstance in which any of the seasons of the series get top marks from one hundred percent of Rotten Tomatoes critics. Season 1 has one hundred percent with 36 reviews, season 2 has the same with 18 reviews. It’s true that the viewership scores are lower, 72% for season 1 and much worse, 53% for season 2. But you can take a look and see who you’re next to. Here is the official description of the series:
I’ve only noticed season 1, but I’ve found it to be wonderful and it’s a simple tip if you’re looking for a wonderful new mystery. Especially if you mean, wipe the taste of True Detective season four out of your mouth.
It is also a series in which you can safely invest because yes, through AMC it has been shown that there will be a third season of Dark Winds, although with a little delay, and it will arrive sometime in 2025 without a fixed date. Again. It’s not very well seen, but it’s not exactly loved and the series is doing very well on Netflix right now, at number 3 in the top 10 on Netflix, which means it’s attracting a lot of audiences there. audience. It beats AMC’s A Discovery of Witches at No. 4 and Fear the Walking Dead at No. 6. Mayfair Witches (lots of witches here) is at number 10. Interview with the Vampire was also added to Netflix, but while it’s bigger than most of them, it’s not the top 10 for some reason.
Anyway, check out Dark Winds. Es a wonderful series and there’s an explanation for why it’s so well done, even if it’s not as better as it says.
