We will see a series of higher level horror films to leave their mark in October before Halloween, and one of them is Smile 2, October 18.
The horror film is a series of 2022 smile, in which a demonic presence infects people, making them smile terribly before committing violence and spreading to the next victim. It attracted a lot of attention to viral marketing that hired the actors to smile terrifying, while they were frozen in positions as baseball matches, which were broadcast on television.
Now, Smile 2 is here and it’s reviewing quite well. A lot of reviews I’ve seen say it’s better than the original and improves in every way but…the numbers say it’s exact uh, 1% better than the original. Smile 2 is currently at an 81% on Rotten Tomatoes with no audience scores yet, and Smile 1 had an 80% with critics and a 77% audience score. Here are a few of the reviews:
And here’s a negative one for a bit of balance:
This inflated run is two hours and seven minutes, which is certainly the most sensible in the horror movie, if a bit long.
It is an appealing turning point for actress Naomi Scott, especially known for her role as Princess Jasmine in the live adaptation of the Aladdin. Needless to say, this is a total replace so that it is passing to this genre. The original movie had no very well known casting, yet it is appealing to pass back and see Kyle Gallner in there, which plays in what I would as the most productive horror movie in 2024, Strange Darling.
I am not the biggest fan of the original smile. The idea is good, but it follows a type of edition of a poor type, and my list of horror movies of all the most productive is probably out of the doors (I saw many horror videos). I will probably review it in the transmission, however, since we are October and the first film has worked well, I would expect it to be carried out safely in theaters.
