Documentary enthusiasts have plenty to get excited about this month on HBO and Max. April kicks off with the premiere of The Synanon Fix, a documentary series that follows the rise and fall of the cult drug rehab program Synanon. The documentary Brandy Hellville and the Cult of Fast Fashion delves into the controversial “one-size-fits-all” clothing logo Brandy Mellville and the impact of fast fashion on the planet.
An American Bombing: The Road to April 19th examines the political violence and anti-government sentiment that led to the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995, and the effects of which are still being felt some 30 years later. HBO is also returning with a second component of its popular documentary series The Jinx, in which the filmmakers continue their investigation into Robert Durst.
But if documentaries are your thing, there are still plenty of popular videos coming to Max in April, like Scott Pilgrim vs. Simpson. The World, the complete Harry Potter film series and Oscar-winning Area of Interest.
