New mutants delayed a week in the UK

At this point, I think we’ve all lost count of the number of delays suffered through 20th Century Studios’ The New Mutants, however, it is said that the film is still on track for its August 28 arc in North America, it was revealed that the UK enthusiasts will have to wait a little longer for the X-Men spin-off.

According to an updated list from Launching Films, the UK Film Sellers’ Official Online Website The New Mutants will open in the UK on Friday 4 September. It’s a week later than the U.S. date, and a resolution that Disney probably took due to the fact that Warner Bros. Tenet. Christopher Nolan arrives in the UK on Wednesday 26 August.

Well, when we wait so long, what week?

“In this terrifying action film based on comedian MARVEL’s e-book series, five other young people who demonstrate special powers are taken to a secret establishment to remedy and tell them that they will heal them from the risks of their powers.

Included are Danielle Moonstar, also known as Mirage (Blu Hunt), which creates illusions from the fears of others; Rahne Sinclair (Maisie Williams), who transforms into a wolf-man Matalobos; Sam Guthrie (Charlie Heaton), who, like Cannonball, can fly at jet speeds through a force field; Roberto da Costa aka Sunspot (Henry Zaga), which absorbs and channels solar energy; e Illyana Rasputin is also known as Magik (Anya Taylor-Joy). Magik, Colossus’s younger sister, is wrapped in armor of everything you can eat and wields a soul sword that amplifies her multiple superhuman and psychic abilities.

Invited through Dr. Cecilia Reyes (Alice Braga) to share their stories about the first manifestation of their powers, the five “patients” come to perceive that they belong to an elegance of other people called mutants, traditionally marginalized and feared. Relived their original stories, their memories seem to become terrifying realities.

They soon wonder what is genuine and what is not, and it becomes transparent that the establishment is not what it seems. Now the question is: why are they held captive? And who’s looking to destroy them? Tension and horror in this thrilling journey led by Josh Boone and co-written through Boone and Knate Lee.

The New Mutants is directed through Josh Boone (The Fault in Our Stars) and includes a cast of Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones) as Rahne Sinclair/Wolfsbane, Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch) as Illyana Rasputin / Magik, Charlie Heaton (Strange Things) as Sam Guthrie / Cannonball, Henry Zaga (13 reasons for what) as Roberto da Costa / Sunspot, Blu Hunt (The Originals) as Danielle Moonstar / Mirage and Alice Braga (Queen of the South) as Dr. Ce.
