It’s the start of a new month, which means a new slate of TV screens and videos on Amazon Prime Video and its ad-supported sibling Freevee. By June 2024, any of the streaming facilities offer many new features that subscribers will be able to enjoy. summer.
The name on Prime Video’s June list is the fourth season of “The Boys. “The gleefully violent superhero series has been a major hit for the service and its return is highly anticipated. There are also some sports documentaries worth watching. The first is “Power of the Dream,” which focuses on an organization of basketball players, and “Federer: Twelve Final Days,” which offers an intimate look at the ultimate bankruptcy of a true legend of the sport, Roger Federer.
This is just a glimpse of the new content coming to Prime Video and Freevee this month, so let’s dive into the full list. Below is a consultant of everything coming to either stream in June 2024, as well as some of my more sensible picks in case you want a little visual inspiration.
As season four approaches, the world as we know it is on edge, as Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit) is closer than ever to the Oval Office and her every move is controlled. Through the super sadistic Homelander (Antony Starr). Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) has lost almost everything and has only a few months left to live. As the stakes rise, you’ll need to rally your fractured team and convince them to work. in combination for a chance to save the world. Expect more ridiculously over-the-top superhero confrontations and plenty of curses along the way. The fourth season of “The Boys” will premiere with 3 episodes on June 13, followed by weekly releases through July 18.

“Power of the Dream” is a thought-provoking documentary that tells the true story of how players on the Atlanta Dream, a professional women’s basketball team, competed against the owner of a WNBA team and a sitting U. S. senator. in an effort to make their voices were heard. The events began in 2020 after a public letter criticized players for their support of Black Lives Matter, and soon enough, the organization found themselves rallying around current Senator Raphael Warnock and forming a movement that replaced the landscape of their game and the US government. Told with the insight of those involved, “The Power of Dreams” tells an inspiring story that deserves to be shared.

While it’s not technically a Prime Video original, when one of the biggest movies of the past 12 months hits any streaming service, it simply can’t be ignored. “Oppenheimer” is still guaranteed to be the No. 1 movie on the streaming service when it launches in mid-June. It will also deserve first place. It’s my favorite film of 2023 and a rare one that has managed to capture widespread attention and garner adulation from critics and voters alike (it has won seven Academy Awards, in addition to Best Picture). If you missed all the hype, this is an epic movie. Director Christopher Nolan’s biopic focused on Robert J. Oppenheimer (Cillian Murphy) and the Manhattan Project that led to the creation of the first atomic bomb.

Roger Federer is one of the most decorated athletes of all time, but not even finals can escape the passage of time and in 2022 the icon showed his retirement from professional tennis. “Federer: Twelve Final Days” is an intimate look at the final twelve days of his career. The footage was originally captured as a home video for Federer’s personal use, but will be shown publicly in this feature-length documentary. You’ll see the Swiss at his most vulnerable, raw and outspoken, as he brings to end a career full of remarkable achievements. The documentary also includes interviews with on-court rivals and close friends Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray.

An ancient choice comedy that charts a new course for Lady Jane Grey, a Tudor noblewoman who was Queen of England for just nine days before being beheaded in 1553. “My Lady Jane” sees Emily Bader take on the role and this twisted version. Jane dodges the axe. This young woman is not in misery and does not want to be saved. The eight-episode series will tell an epic story that combines adventure, action, fantasy, romance, and maybe even a bit of real-life history. Prime Video Line Connection recommends you “cleanse your kidneys” before you watch, which is a word I had to study and that was necessary, and I swear it’s a lot less dirty than it looks.
