Images have emerged from a place where a Viking revenge overproduction starring Nicole Kidman is expected to be filmed.

Antrim Hills, near Larne, is home to a team that is preparing to film The Northman.

The film is set in Iceland in the early 10th century and is also expected to star brothers Alexander and Bill Skarsgord and actress Emma Anya Taylor-Joy.

Director Robert Eggers, who also directed The Lighthouse in theaters this year, will also welcome actor William Defoe as part of his cast.

In the images you can see several houses and lighting, where Hollywood stars film.

In February, a film set was installed in Torr Head’s picturesque and secluded location at Ballycastle, which was then closed to the public.

Photographs show several slums built near the edge of the cliff, near several popular Game of Thrones filming locations.

The Northman is the latest film in a series of Northern Ireland productions that follow the good fortune of Game of Thrones over the past decade.

The lighthouse turned black and white, but Eggers said in February that this would not be the case with The Northman.

“The film is too expensive [for that],” he said in an interview with Entertainment Collider.

Belfast film maker Mark Huffam, who was one of the figures on the arrival of Game of Thrones in Northern Ireland, is also on board as the manufacturer of The Northman.
