EXCLUSIVE: Nina Dobrev, Jimmy O. Yang and Charles Melton are expected to star in the Netflix romantic comedy Love Hard, which Netflix acquired as a preventative in August. The functionality written through Danny Mackey and the writer-turned-literary agent Rebecca Ewing. The film will be produced through McG and Mary Viola under their Wonderland banner.
Hernandez Jimenez, who directed About Us and Elsewhere, will direct. The functionality is described as When Harry meets Sally, meets Roxanne and follows a young girl, unfortunate in love, falls in love with an East Coast boy in a dating app and makes the decision to ask her at Christmas, only to notice that she has been caught with a cat. But the object of her affection lives in the same city, and the guy who cheated on her gives to install them if she claims to be her own friend for the holidays.
Steven Bello will be the producer.
Former Vampire Diaries star Dobrev recently noted on Lucky Day and Run This Town. He recently finished production of Sick Girl.
Yang, the star of the HBO comedy Silicon Valley, has had a busy 2020 with Like A Boss and the film Fantasy Island on Sony. He already has close ties to Netflix after co-starring with Steve Carrell in the comedy series Space Force.
Melton can still be seen on the CW Riverdale hit screen as Reggie, who is entering its fifth season. On the film side, he recently appeared in the latest installment of the Bad Boys franchise, Bad Boys four Life.
