The Television Academy, the organization of guilty Members of the Emmys, on Tuesday announced its list of nominations for the 2020 Emmy Awards in a virtual rite organized through the Leslie Jones comic book before the 72 Emmy Awards to be broadcast on ABC on September 20.
HBO Watchmen had the top nominations of 26 in a row for The Marvelous Ms. Maisel (20), Ozark (18), Succession (18), The Mandalorian (15), Schitt’s Creek (15), Saturday Night Live (15) and The Crown. (13).
Netflix had the top nominations of any platform, 160, setting a new record and ahead of HBO, which had 137 nominations in 2019.
HBO earned the number of nominations of the moment with 107, ranking among the five most sensitive Netflix, HBO, NBC with 47, ABC with 36 and FX with 33.
Half of this year’s nominees for notable comedy series are new to the category, adding Dead to Me, Insecure, The Kominsky Method and What We Do in the Shadows.
The most difficult festival ever this year, with the academy saying that the number of Emmy performances was more than 15%, while the number of TELEVISION series reached a record, there were more than 500 series last year.
