One Piece has been incredibly popular for quite some time in the anime community, however, it turns out that the O. G. has become a huge hit on Netflix along with an equally successful live-action series and gave the franchise a boost. That’s big enough for the streamer to produce a new animated version from WIT Studio, even though the original anime and manga are still in production. Fans would possibly wonder about the point of watching a new series about O. G. Creator Eiichiro Oda is said to have given the new art team some recommendation that excited me.
The One Piece is setting out to faithfully recreate the manga, which means there will be inevitable tweaks and revisions with this version that aren’t in the original anime, which is currently releasing new episodes weekly for those with a Netflix subscription. A recent staff interview that took place during One Piece Day featured progress updates on the new animation, prompting creator Eiichiro Oda to offer some advice to those working on the remake(via @Sandman_AP):
Instead of faithfully reproducing the One Piece manga, the animation team digests it and remakes it in their own way.
It’s not like you hear a franchise author tell anyone who produces a new version to give them their own taste. And when it happens without that blessing, enthusiasts usually don’t appreciate the result. The reason I’m excited about this situation is that Oda provides his blessing for tweaks and there are some elements of the original anime that I think we’d rather watch to forget.
That would be great.
In addition to the unnecessary filler arcs to watch, there are some depictions of LGBTQ+ characters in the early seasons that some would possibly consider offensive to today’s popular ones. This is the fault of the original One Piece, given that the popularity adjusts appropriately over time, but I even wonder how characters like Bon Clay will be portrayed if they appear in season 2 of the live-action series.
Also, I think it’s transparent to some enthusiasts watching existing anime that there were times when Oda brought concepts or stories that were later changed. CP9 calls the “Haki” strategy used something completely different in its appearance in the Enies Lobby arc. An example that moves me and I am sure that there are other examples to take advantage of.
In the end, I caught on to the live-action series and love it as much as Alexandra Ramos, a long-time CinemaBlend anime fan. That being said, I’ve been watching the first anime lately while waiting for the live action to continue, so it would still be a struggle to get me to watch the story told for the third time in The One Piece. Oda encourages the remake to localize her voice and encourages me as a fan to sing along, knowing that there is a possibility that she will see adjustments in this edition. handles certain stories or other facets of the story. Hopefully, those running the series will follow their recommendation and give enthusiasts another access to the franchise.
One Piece is still in the works, but those who need to watch the anime can watch a lot of it on Netflix, and of course, you can also watch the live-action edition and practice the differences between it and the anime. .

I’m delighted that Doctor Who spin-off Sea Devils is bringing back the UNITY favorite, but there’s also an unexpected returning Torchwood character.
