It’s time to pick up your popcorn when Vue cinema in Plymouth reopens on Friday, August 21 after being closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Vue has already opened 10 of its sites across the UK, however, Plymouth viewers will now be able to review some of the latest blockbusters on the big screen.
Tickets are now on sale for Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi action show, Tenet, which will arrive at all Vue sites on Wednesday, August 26.
The cinema also brings back a series of fan-favorite videos on screen, with tickets on sale soon.
From the circle of family favorites like Harry Potter to fan favorites like La La Land, to movie classics like Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, there’s everything for everyone.
Return to assure consumers that security measures are in place in accordance with government guidelines.
Online booking is recommended for contactless visits as you can imagine: tickets must be held on smartphones and scanned before entering the screen.

The cinema confirms that the cleaning and PPE of the workers will be improved, adding the disinfection of each of the screens between each of the films and the hands-on disinfection stations of the place.
Social estrangement is also in position with other people sitting away from others at the screenings.
There are also reduced touch issues and contactless bills of up to £45, and Apple Pay and Google Pay are accepted on sales issues.
Filming schedules have also been changed to maintain speed with physical distances and the number of other people in homes and hallways at all times.
James Ashcroft, Managing Director of Vue Plymouth, said: “We are very excited to reopen our cinema once back and look forward to welcoming viewers soon.
“We have worked hard to ensure that our here in Plymouth complies with the protection protocols that comply with the latest government guidelines.”
All security measures will also be clearly noted at the entrances and the building, and will be consistent with public and government aptitude guidelines.
Guests must wear a mask during their visit, although it may get rid of it for food and drink. Customers should also participate in the Test-Trace initiative to protect themselves and others.
Vue’s team will also have two full days of in-depth education before reopening those protocols. The newly established security team will be able to welcome customers, new procedures and answer any questions.
James added: “We need viewers in Plymouth and the surrounding domain to know that the quality of our visual delight remains unchanged and that consumers will continue to enjoy the quality of audio and symbols in big-screen entertainment, especially with the upcoming release of long-awaited titles like Tenet. We hope the moviegoers will be excited like us through the return of the big screen where you want to watch videos like this.
