You know Technical.ly as a news story that develops local generation communities by connecting organizations and others through journalism, occasions and services.
As we continue to look for new tactics to serve the #dctech community, our new video series, Technical.ly DC Diaries, will include interviews with local founders, technologists, and startup executives. The conversations will be moderated through me, Michelai Graham, editor-in-chief of Technical.ly DC Market, and will explore a variety of topics, adding how those other people made their beginnings in generation or entrepreneurship and what drives them forward.
It’s an additional way to get to know the other people in your network who are doing the job more effectively.
While I sharpen the main points of this series, episodes can occur sporadically over the next few weeks. My goal is to produce at least 10 seasons of episodes with general express themes. Conversations are recorded in Zoom and will last a maximum of 20 minutes.
For those first episodes, I interview others from our first RealLIST connectors, a summary of local leaders who are running to build their technology, business and innovation network by connecting others for long-term expansion and inclusion. Future seasons may include black engineers, tech women, founders of new biotech companies, and more.
For this pilot episode, I interviewed Vinetta Project DC director Dawn Myers, who took over the bankruptcy of VINEtta DC in January after Kelly O’Malley left last fall. Myers is an entrepreneur who founded and runs her own company THE MOST, which designs equipment and devices for the styling of textured hair.
