Candidates are sought for 3 positions of manufacturer representatives on the Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA) Board Of Selection Committee at this year’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) on November 19, 2020.
The role of the variety committee is to nominate, review, glimpse and then report on the suitability of applicants for election to the Council of Members.
Lately, the committee is composed of 3 representatives appointed through complex manufacturer forums, two non-voting MLA administrators and 4 members of manufacturers who were elected through MLA members: a sheep meat representative, a grain farm animal and two representatives of grazing farm animals.
At this year’s AGM, MLA members have the opportunity to elect 3 manufacturer representatives to the MLA Board Selection Committee for a 3-year term, among applicants from 3 categories of manufacturers:
All nominated manufacturers apply to the AGM for voting by class member manufacturers.
Members wishing to nominate a user or wish to nominate themselves for election through MLA manufacturer members for the MLA Board Selection Committee at the 2020 AGM shall notify MLA in writing until September 17, 2020.
