And now a movie has joined this exclusive club.
Project Power, starring Jamie Foxx and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, has just had its tenth consecutive day in the first place. While 365 Days spent a total of 12 days in the first place, this film may not achieve a two-digit series as Project Power just achieved. This means that the film Jamie Foxx and Spenser Confidential are now the most sensible on this list.
While this might seem insignificant, it’s quite uncommon for a film to dominate the Top 10 like this. While exhibits such as Tiger King, The Umbrella Academy, thirteen Reasons Why and Unsolved Mysteries spent more than 10 days in the most sensitive place, it was traditionally much harder for a film to generate the kind of numbers needed to dominate the Top 10.
In fact, since the release of the Top 10 feature film in late February, only 11 films have finished a series of six days or more in the first place. Therefore, over the course of 180 days, the list of the 10 most sensible ones you have Array … not many movies were placed in the Top 10 as Project Power.
Here are those movies and their series:
This highlights the good luck of Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s film so far on Netflix. Because 4 of the movies on this list – Despicable Me, The Angry Birds Movie 2, 365 Days and Spenser Confidential – are among the 4 most popular videos on Netflix this year. And two other films, such as The Wrong Missy and The Old Guard, surely wore the monthly charts on their Netflix careers.
In just 10 days, Project Power got as many issues as you can imagine during this era (you can learn more about our Netflix scoring formula here). And that was enough to propell the film to fourth position this month, with its prospects in the top position coming soon.
Here are the existing movie ratings per month for August on Netflix:
In the coming days, the Jamie Foxx vehicle is expected to take the most sensible place of the month. In the annual list, the film has already reached number 26 and is expected to enter the 20 most sensitive until tomorrow.
It remains to be noted whether Foxx and Gordon-Levitt can fit (or better) into Spenser Confidential’s crazy 18-day series in the first place. If that happens, Project Power could be the most popular Netflix movie of the year.
