Actors Christopher Russell and Rhiannon Fish in Hallmark’s new romantic comedy “A Costa Rican Wedding. “
The film directed by Colin Theys from a script by Juliana Wimbles.
In this new film, a clumsy bridesmaid gets help from her handsome foe when things happen at the wedding of her most productive friend in Costa Rica.
West Coast surfing and warm sand are just the distraction Emily (Rhiannon Fish) craves after her most recent breakup.
Being alongside her friend Phoebe (Brittany Carel) as a bridesmaid is a dream come true, but it temporarily turns into a nightmare when a monkey organization borrows Emily’s purse, and the priceless, inherited wedding rings she had!
Desperate to give up her awkward reputation and not be guilty of ruining the marriage, Emily teams up with an unexpected assistant, Ryan (Christopher Russell), the boy and her old rival.
As a local hiking guide, Ryan thinks he knows the lands of this tropical country, though perhaps not as well as he thought.
Their misadventure takes them from amazing jungle volcanoes to surreal ancient archaeological sites.
By helping each other, Emily and Ryan find a way to overcome their old hang-ups and seek common ground, all while trying to save the big day.
Christopher Russell and Rhiannon Fish have wonderful chemistry together, and Costa Rica felt like its own character in the romantic comedy. . . And the same goes for the wild animals that appeared in the film. The cinematography is visually stunning.
This movie has elements of “The Notebook,” “Chasing Waterfalls,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “The Parent’s Trap. “All the players bring something different to the project.
It is appreciated for its beauty, lightness and simplicity. It is ideal for the entire family circle and deserves its own suite.
“A Wedding in Costa Rica” is a feel-good escape and gets the thumbs up. Well done.
