Police in New Mexico had full force in this chase: A thief arrested this month outside a Walgreens after trying to outrun a police officer on horseback.
Albuquerque police camera video shows a dark brown horse trotting in a parking lot and a guy dressed in black.
The horse catches up with him in a few seconds.
“It wasn’t me,” the guy yells as he leads the horse and the cop down the street, impeding traffic.
The man surrounded when two other police officers on horseback arrived at the scene, as the video shows.
One of the officers dismounts the man, who has been charged with stealing $230 worth of Walgreens merchandise, from his horse and wife, according to the Albuquerque Police Department.
