Ryan Reynolds is teaming up again with director Shawn Levy for a large-scale, untitled global heist task that landed on Netflix. The Hollywood Reporter reported that the telecast won the film, with Dana Fox (Disney’s Cruella) writing the script.
Levy will direct and produce the film with his production company 21 Laps. He will be joined by a team of mega-producers along with Reynolds, his Maximum Effort, and Simon Kinberg and Audrey Chon, his company Genre Films.
The main points of the project are under wraps lately, but it’s being compared to an Ocean’s Eleven-style game. There’s no production schedule yet, so don’t expect any relative announcements in the immediate future, given that Reynolds and Levy are already busy. Schedule.
The duo has become one of Hollywood’s most important artistic combinations in recent times, after first performing together on Free Guy in 2021. The film was delayed due to the pandemic and was released in theaters in August of the same year to fair reviews. They followed that up with the more family-friendly action-adventure film The Adam Project in 2022, also for Netflix. Lately, they’re filming their third combined movie, Marvel Studios’ Deadpool 3.
