Ryan Reynolds stores footage of Deadpool from Wesley Snipes’ sword, and I’m convinced of his idea of bringing him back for the movie.

Fans who have spent years watching Marvel movies have noted the great luck of Deadpool and Wolverine, especially after a series of missteps in the MCU. The film featured a number of exciting cameos, adding the return of Wesley Snipes as Blade. Ryan Reynolds recently shared footage of Snipes in Deadpool 3, and I’m sold on his idea of bringing him back for one more movie.

Deadpool and Wolverine’s cast list included several familiar faces from 20th Century Fox’s superhero projects and the return of Wesley Snipes as extremely cheerful Blade fans. Reynolds shared some set images and official photos of Snipes on Instagram, along with a cool concept for him to return: an emotional Logan-style farewell. Check it out below:

Honestly, take my money. Snipes went the extra mile for Deadpool 3, making him the actor to play a superhero the longest. And Ryan Reynolds had the brilliant concept of giving him the opportunity to take a definitive bow on the character. We’ll have to wait and see if the powers that be at Marvel take his advice.

Logan (which streams on a Disney subscription) was originally intended to be Hugh Jackman’s final arc as Wolverine. Logan’s ending presented an emotionally satisfying conclusion, where the main character sacrificed himself to save Laura/X-23 from Dafne Keen. And it would be wonderful to see Wesley Snipes receive the same kind of farewell with some other Blade movie.

Of course, there’s something stopping Wesley Snipes from saying goodbye to the vampire hero Logan-style. Namely, the upcoming MCU movie Blade, starring Mahershala Ali as the title character. Although this task has seen many delays over the years, the studio is still determined to bring it to theaters and as such, Kevin Feige and his company are probably not in a position to produce another Snipes sword.

The MCU’s Blade progression is one of the main reasons why Wesley Snipes’ cameo in Deadpool

Although Mahershala Ali has yet to physically appear in the MCU, he was cast several years ago. His voice as Blade was heard briefly in the credits scene of Eternals, where he was heard talking to Dane Whitman about Kit Harington. Unfortunately, there are no plans for Eternals to get a sequel, and Blade has been stuck in progression hell for years.

Given the many years that Wesley Snipes has played Blade, I think it would be great to see him get the Logan remedy for an upcoming movie. Maybe he’ll even serve as a handoff to Mahershala Ali? While we keep our hands crossed, check out the movie’s 2025 release dates.

Corey was born and raised in New Jersey. She holds a degree in theater and literature from Ramapo College in New Jersey. After working in administrative theater for a year in New York, he started as a weekend editor at CinemaBlend. Since then, he’s been able to prepare for reviews, phone calls, and press meetings, and now he’s able to appear on camera with some of his favorite actors. . . but not in the way I would have predicted as a child. He takes particular pride in covering horror franchises like Scream and Halloween, as well as musicals like West Side Story. Favorite interviews include Steven Spielberg, Spike Lee, Jamie Lee Curtis, and more.

A funny piece that Ryan Reynolds “still wishes” he had done in a Deadpool movie

Shang-Chi would have been a huge character in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, and I hope he continues to be prominent in Doomsday.

Can ABC’s Thursday Nights Take On Two Medical Dramas? What worries me as a fan of Grey’s Anatomy?
