Sandler AG officially opens new non-woven production line: Bavarian Economy Minister recognizes company commitment from family circle

SCHWARZENBACH / SAALE, Germany – August 27, 2020 – Sandler has officially opened a new production line for non-woven face masks. Hubert Aiwanger, Bavarian Minister of Economy, personally present with other visitors to politics and business.

In early April, the nonwoven manufacturer of Schwarzenbach/Saale announced an investment in a new line to increase the production of nonwoven transparent media for face masks and therefore increase its contribution to the safety of origin of those products. The new line of nonwoven fabrics allows the production of transparent media for approximately six hundred million protective masks for the mouth and nose according to the year and began production scheduled for mid-August. Among the many investment projects announced in reaction to the bottlenecks caused by the pandemic, this line is the first of its kind to provide a service to identify German chains of origin for medical protective masks. With a small party in hygienic conditions, the production line was officially opened.

The CEO, Dr. Christian Heinrich Sandler, welcomed the approximately 50 guests and stressed that it remains a no-brainer for the company to help succeed over the pandemic. “The main explanation for why we invest in a new production line is our purpose to develop our production capacity for nonwoven face masks as soon as possible. On August 14, as we promised our federal Health Minister, Jens Spahn, we started to put the new line into service. In September, we will start trading 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. »

Dr. Sandler thanked the representatives of federal, state and regional policy for non-bureaucratic cooperation; suppliers and partners for their commitment and partnership. He also thanked his Sandler team: “We have created our own equipment for nonwoven face masks in our company, for the assembly of the new production line, as well as for the development of new non-woven face masks, cooperation with our partners and the sale of our products. Without those employees we wouldn’t have achieved our goal. »

In his celebratory speech, Hubert Aiwanger, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of the State of Bavaria, presses on the importance of new investment: “The shortage of sources at the start of the crown crisis showed the importance of Bavarian regional production, as a national manufacturer of nonwoven masks, is helping to combat the pandemic with cutting-edge products. It’s a stroke of luck for Bavaria that we have Sandler with us and I’m very happy that the company continues to expand the site.

Jens Spahn, Federal Minister of Health of Germany, sent a video message congratulating and thanking the company for its commitment.

Dr Hans-Peter Friedrich, Vice-President of the German Bundestag, Dr Oliver Boer, District Manager of Hof, and Hans-Peter Baumann, Mayor of the city of Schwarzenbach/Saale, also took the opportunity to congratulate Sandler and express his appreciation. .

In May, Sandler AG, PIA Automation (Amberg’s automation specialist) and Zettl Group (Weng’s leading supplier of internal automotive products) created Mask-Alliance-Bavaria. Together, they formed a total chain for the manufacture of face masks in Bavaria. The control representatives of the two-spouse corporations were also invited to the opening of the new production line in Schwarzenbach.
